Oakwood Knits

Oakwood Knits is a one-person yarn company offering artistically hand-dyed yarns as well as charming knitting patterns, created by Kim Ramirez. What sets OWK’s yarns apart is Kim’s ability to create a painterly aesthetic to her variegated colorways, paired with rich complementary tonals.

I collaborated with Kim to create an updated brand identity, which included an expanded logo, color palette, brand patterns, and custom illustrations.

There was certainly nothing wrong with the original Oakwood Knits logo, but it didn’t quite capture the spirit of cozy craftsmanship that the yarn brand had come to take on.
